Think that maggot fishing down the bottom of the field is somewhat knocked on the head for a bit. Here is the swim I normally fish, with the chub-holding tree circled:

So that’s that for a bit. Haven’t seen what the becks are like for the grayling, but I suspect they are well up too. Will have to check the tide times at Sandsend.
